GPU-leader SQream names Liam Galin CEO

GPU-innovator SQream is announcing this week that it’s appointed Liam Galin as its new CEO.

The executive will lead the company’s 2.0’s era, positioning the company as the ultimate AI Factory enabler – where enterprises transform massive data volumes into AI-driven foresight at unprecedented scale and speed.

With a strategic focus on mass-scale AI enablement, Galin will drive SQream 2.0’s expansion into new industries and forge powerful partnerships, positioning the company at the forefront of mass-scale AI enablement.

According to recent reports, the big data market is expected to reach $638 billion by 2028 and the increasing adoption of AI. SQream’s GPU-native data processing engine empowers organizations to accelerate AI-driven workloads – spanning data preparation, mega-scale inference, and uniquely, in-database training – on petabyte-scale datasets, dramatically reducing time and cost compared to traditional methods.

Galin brings over two decades of experience as the head of market-leading international tech companies, leading teams from startups to global publicly-traded powerhouses with more than 400 employees across four continents. He has raised substantial funds while driving international sales exceeding $300M in aggregate.

A graduate of Tel Aviv University with an undergraduate and Masters degree in electrical engineering, Galin earlier served as CEO of BriefCam, acquired by Milestone; Chairman and CEO of Flash Networks, acquired by Volaris Group; Co-Founder and CEO of Whatify.ai; and CEO of RiT Technologies.

“I’m honored to join SQream at such a transformative moment,” said Galin. “As an AI Factory enabler, we are uniquely positioned to meet the surging demand for AI-ready infrastructure by empowering enterprises to extract meaningful foresight from their massive data. This is a pivotal point in time defined by three tectonic market shifts: GPUs taking center stage, AI booming, and big data reaching unprecedented scale, creating an unprecedented opportunity for SQream to lead the charge,” said Galin.

Added the executive: “I’m extremely proud to join the passionate team of technologists, AI, and data experts at SQream as the new CEO. We have a real opportunity to help enterprises reach their goals with our innovative solutions for mass-scale AI. I look forward to building upon the impressive work of the company and its unique, ground-breaking technology, addressing the demand for data-driven insights and foresights that has never been higher.”

Under Galin’s leadership, SQream will refine its go-to-market strategy to further establish itself as the mass-scale AI Factory for enabler. A key driver of future growth will be AISQream – an advanced SQL-based engine that allows enterprises to run complex AI workloads on petabyte-scale data, delivering time-sensitive business insights, faster and at one-tenth of the cost.
