Gorilla Logic names Steve Daly CTO as enterprises face AI deployment challenges

Enterprise AI projects face a difficult transition between successful experiments and systems that can operate reliably in production. Organizations must connect models to existing applications and data infrastructure while addressing security, governance and the requirements of business-critical operations.

Gorilla Logic has appointed Steve Daly as chief technology officer to lead the next phase of its enterprise AI engineering strategy. The appointment follows the company’s acceptance into Anthropic’s Claude Partner Network as a Select Services Partner, which supports organizations adopting and operationalizing Claude.

The company said Daly will focus on the architecture, data and engineering foundations needed to make AI deployments repeatable across complex enterprise environments. The move comes as businesses look beyond isolated proofs of concept and evaluate how AI can become part of their operational infrastructure.

“AI is changing what companies can build and how quickly they can build it,” said Drew Naukam, CEO of Gorilla Logic. He added that enterprise adoption requires more than model access, pointing to the need to connect AI capabilities with existing systems and engineering requirements.

Daly brings more than 35 years of technology and consulting leadership. At New Era Technology, where he most recently served as senior vice president of solutions for global digital transformation, he led the company’s global AI practice and initiatives spanning cloud transformation and enterprise innovation.

His background includes large-scale modernization programs and digital transformation work with startups, mid-market businesses, Fortune 500 companies and public-sector agencies.

Daly emphasized that organizations must account for the people and processes involved in operating AI systems. “AI creates tremendous opportunity, but technology alone doesn’t create transformation,” he said.

He added that “the real work is connecting AI to the business, and the people who have to operate it every day.”

Gorilla Logic plans to expand its AI-native product and platform engineering work under Daly’s technical leadership. Its strategy centers on applying engineering discipline to enterprise AI adoption, although the announcement did not specify implementation schedules, new customer contracts or measurable business outcomes.

The appointment highlights a persistent issue for enterprise technology teams: deploying AI involves more than selecting a model or developing an application. Systems must integrate with existing infrastructure and remain manageable after launch. For companies moving toward production-scale AI, architecture, data and operational readiness remain central to turning experimentation into sustained business use.
