Zentrela, the neurotechnology company on a mission to bring EEG brainwave scans to the mainstream, announced this month the results of a study it conducted with Kinloch Wellness, a leader in non-psychoactive, plant-based health and wellness products.
The study looked to objectively quantify the efficacy of Kinloch’s Serene™ CBD Green Apple Drop leveraging Zentrela’s EEG brainwave analysis tool, called the Cognalyzer®. It was the first of its kind in objectively quantifying how effective a CBD-only product is at increasing the relaxation state of consumers.
What the companies found is that the gummies from Kinloch were 3X more effective in producing a relaxing effect in females than in males, showing a material difference in impact between the genders.
The study showed that 1 gummy was optimal for females, with males likely to require a higher dose to receive a similar level of relaxation. The research, according to a press release from the companies, may also help to justify future investigations that explore how CBD products are used by women to treat specific conditions.
