Enterprise AI is entering a more demanding stage. After organizations spent the past few years testing generative AI tools, the focus is increasingly shifting toward deploying AI within real business processes and measuring the results.
That transition requires more than access to foundation models. Companies need data architectures, application engineering, governance, security and operating models capable of supporting AI systems in production.
Deloitte’s 2026 State of AI in the Enterprise report found that companies with at least 40% of their AI projects in production are expected to double over the following six months. The report surveyed 3,235 leaders across 24 countries and also found that 34% of organizations were already deeply transforming their businesses around AI.
The shift is creating demand for technology partners that can connect AI strategy with modernization. Instead of building isolated pilots, enterprises increasingly need to integrate AI with their existing applications, data estates and cloud infrastructure.

Sonata Software is expanding its enterprise AI capabilities around this transition. The company appointed Hariprasad Rebala as Chief AI Officer in August 2026, with responsibility for its AI strategy across offerings, service delivery, platforms, capabilities and partnerships. Sonata said the role is intended to accelerate its transformation into an AI native enterprise.
Its AI portfolio combines AI engineering with modernization capabilities across Microsoft, AWS, Salesforce and Snowflake. Sonata also launched AgentBridge, a managed services offering designed around agentic workflows, while its broader Platformation approach connects AI with enterprise applications and data environments.
The company says its 6,400 plus AI engineers support global delivery across the US, UK, India, Malaysia, Mexico, Australia, DACH and the Nordics. Its current strategy focuses on moving enterprises from AI experimentation toward production environments where AI can be integrated with existing technology and tied to measurable business outcomes.
